Rob Lowe Gambles on 'Vegas' Mar 2, 2:21 am ET By Nellie Andreeva LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "West Wing" alumnus Rob Lowe, who starred in NBC's short-lived drama "The Lyon's Den" earlier this season, has been tapped to topline CBS' drama pilot "Dr. Vegas," playing an in-house physician at a casino. In other pilot casting news, Alex Desert has joined the cast of ABC's drama "Harry Green and Eugene"; John Cho has been tapped as a lead in NBC's comedy pilot "The Men's Room"; the WB Network has found its "Prodigy" in Coby Arens, with Stacy Edwards attached to play his mom; John Patrick Stewart and Josie Davis have joined the cast of ABC's untitled Jennifer Love Hewitt comedy pilot; and Cameron Richardson and Brent Weber have been cast in Fox's drama pilot "Point Pleasant." "Harry Green and Eugene" centers on Los Angeles private eye Harry Green (Mark Valley) and his inept brother Eugene. Desert most recently co-starred on the CBS comedy "Becker." "The Men's Room" revolves around three men in different stages of their lives. Cho (the "American Pie" movies) will play a thirtysomething man. "Prodigy" revolves around a family raising a child prodigy. Arens appeared in "Riding in Cars With Boys." Edwards had a role on CBS' "Chicago Hope." The untitled Jennifer Love Hewitt pilot centers on a sports reporter and single mom (Hewitt), whose arrival threatens the network's top sports reporter (Davis). Stewart will play an anchor Davis' credits include Fox's "Beverly Hills, 90210." Davis' recent credits include the feature "Gods and Generals" and Fox's comedy "Andy Richter Controls the Universe." "Point Pleasant" revolves around a beachside community that is turned upside down when a girl washes ashore. Richardson was a recurring star on Fox's short-lived series "Skin" this season.
